Auditing most fixed asset records can be difficult if not impossible. Without bar coding, it is invariably labor intensive and costly. Our inventory services, coupled with technical support, can yield a cost effective result and provide the foundation for on-going asset management.

A multi-site insurance company needed to confirm the whereabouts of its 33,000 IT assets. While records were available, they had not been reviewed for several years. Our Projects Group conducted a comprehensive inventory and field verified the results. Upon completion, our technical support area compared the field inventory results with the client's records, identified located assets and analyzed four classes of discrepancies. This field information reconciled a remarkable 98% of the assets and the client subsequently located records for virtually all unreconciled assets. Better still, the client reported that the cost of the inventory was approximately 1/3 less than previous efforts.
