AssetWIN 2007 RELEASE THIRD QUARTER

Naperville, IL -- Asset Systems, Inc. has announced the planned release of AssetWIN 2007 in August of 2007. AssetWIN, originally introduced in 1995, provides a highly adaptable environment for managing any type of moveable fixed asset. This release is written using Microsoft’s .NET framework and includes substantial architectural improvements to the application. A streamlined vocabulary is introduced with this version to ease the user’s understanding of the system’s operations. The user interface has been completely revamped with an eye to reducing clicks and consolidating functions and forms.

The focus of this release is the asset manager in a large organization who is tasked with monitoring a diverse asset base. Often, this user needs to tailor asset views, data elements and reports to various departmental requirements while maintaining a central repository for financial reporting. By simply assigning a data category to assets, the application automatically organizes these tasks.

“Asset management databases look different in each organization, and often within an organization,” observes Melinda Chapleau, Director of Sales and Marketing. “While our earlier versions introduced this ability, AssetWIN 2007 expands the user’s control and flexibility.”

To assure the scalability of the application, Asset Systems will release desktop and client server versions supporting either Microsoft Access or SQL Server databases. AssetWIN has been web compatible since 1997 and this version will continue that tradition.

“We realized that even the most disciplined product migration plan will have versions which introduce profound improvements and changes,” stated ASI President, Alden Snyder. “Our goal is to provide true sate-of-the-art design and dramatic improvements to the user’s experience with a minimum of disruption to our user base.” All current users will receive complementary release briefings to aid in their adoption of AssetWIN 2007.
A companion program supporting bar code data collection, DataCap, has been updated with changes needed for this version as well. Optional modules of the core application will be available later in 2007 and 2008.

Asset Systems, Inc., based in Naperville, IL, was formed in October, 1987. Its flagship product, AssetWIN, provides bar code based asset management solutions for clients throughout North America. For more information call (877) 955-4321 or log on to www.assetsystems.com.
